Indiana University's regional campuses are advancing IU 2030 with a renewed focus on the priorities that matter most to their students, communities, and regions. While each campus implements the plan based on its unique mission, strengths, and opportunities, the regional campuses are working toward a common set of indicators to demonstrate collective progress and impact across Indiana.

Moving forward

  • Establish shared regional student-success KPIs.
  • Target DFW reduction in entry-level English, Math, and Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Convene faculty across campuses to identify and scale effective instructional practices.
  • Use course redesign, embedded tutoring, supplemental instruction, and faculty development in targeted gateway courses.
  • Provide ACUE training for faculty teaching targeted courses.
  • Identify priority students before the semester through campus-specific predictive models.
  • Focus proactive advising on the 40% of entering regional students whom IU is at risk for not retaining.
  • Connect priority students with advisors or success coaches during Weeks 2–7.
  • Review juniors and seniors for course availability, scheduling, debt, enrollment holds, and other completion barriers.
  • Expand transitional programs, including Summer Bridge and first-year support.
  • Track online outcomes separately and assess the effect of Quality Matters certification.
  • Expand Capital Campus programming and High Impact Practices.
  • Implement the Impact Accelerator to strengthen philanthropic scholarship support.
